Personal Statement
My name is Tim Selzer, a shooting guard from Marist Brothers International School located in Kobe, Japan. For a while now, I had wanted and I am very interested in college basketball and that as an ambitious collegiate student-athlete, I have defined clear goals in my life. What I ask for is the opportunity to play college basketball in America.
I am an elite shooting combination guard who takes pride in his defense, and IQ. I always stay committed to improvement, playing for the Pro Youth(U18) team, and leading in scoring for both high school and Club basketball teams. I am versatile in playing and adapting to different games, game situations, and strategies.
What separates me from the other recruits is my work ethic and dedication, which is second to none. I am the ultimate team player, believing in teamwork but I also have that fire to want to make the people around me better. Coaches and peers know me as that go to leader who leads with his actions and by example on and off the court.
I hope to excel both on the court and in the classroom, to be part of a program that values hard work, integrity, and teamwork. What is important to me is using my college experience to develop not only as an athlete but also as a leader and scholar.
