Personal Statement
My name is Julian Markworth Scott and I am immensely interested in playing college basketball in the US. After visiting the states for the first time in my freshman year, it was clear to me that America is where I wanted to pursue basketball and academics in the future. In Sydney, Australia, I attend a top 10 nationally ranked school for both academics and basketball which makes me a very diligent worker both on and off the court. My current projected ATAR (Australian SAT) is a 95.4 which would place me in the top 4.55% in the nation with the highest mark being a 99.95. I believe that a couple attributes that separate me from the rest of the recruits is how much I want it. How badly I want to succeed and how much I want to win. When school practice begins at 7 you will find me in the gym at 5:30 putting shots up. When it comes to anything in life I absolutely despise losing which may make others perceive me as overly-competitive but for me, it helps me keep me on track in order to attain my goals and beyond.
