Personal Statement
My name is Sam Birnbaum,
I am a 17-year-old student in Florida, where I currently live and attend school. I regularly competed in several high-level basketball leagues in Hong Kong and most recently played with Yat Wik basketball club which is apart of the premier league in Hong Kong (A2 division). I most recently relocated to Florida and plan to compete in AAU and showcases around the country in the coming year. My interest in basketball extends from my Dad and grandfather who both grew up in New York and played college basketball. (Bowling Green university).
I love the game of basketball and love to train, with my goal being to play high-level basketball at the collegiate level. I am a proud member of 3 basketball clubs, one of which I recently received 17u league MVP. I believe my capabilities on the court extend to both ends of the floor. I'm not afraid to embrace contact inside the paint, and I have a good shot selection that extends beyond the arc.
Besides playing basketball, I strive to attain academic achievements through balancing my training routine with time spent studying and finishing school. I endeavor to have the experience of playing in high-level collegiate basketball and am working my hardest to do so.
