Personal Statement
Playing Basketball makes me a better person.
I’m at my best and happiest when I am on the Court making my Team and Myself better.
I’ve been playing since I was 7 years old and even spent 4 seasons Coaching Boys and Girls Under 8 Teams. I pride myself on being able to take on new plays easily and in supporting my Coach and Teammates; this has shown through in the fact that I have won 3 Coaches Awards over the last three years.
Currently I play in two local Domestic competitions in Melbourne, Australia in the Knox and Kilsyth areas; Knox Under 19’s A Grade and Kilsyth Under 18’s A Grade.
In my most recent Representative Season at Ringwood Hawks, I averaged more than 11 points a game and also had a large number of assists. I was selected for the Under 18 Boys No 1 Team for this season and we have made the VC (Victorian Championship) section which is the highest level in the state.
I attend SEDA College in Dandenong and am part of their Basketball Program that is affiliated with Basketball Victoria and Melbourne United Basketball Club.
My main aim is to make it to College and beyond, but I know that this involves being strong academically. I’m not sure what I want to do yet, but I am strong in Mathematics, doing anything with my hands and Sport. I’m currently studying a Sport and Recreation Certificate at SEDA.
I am loyal, determined and trustworthy.
I won’t let you down.
