Personal Statement

Hi Coach

My name is Ezekiel Stallworth and I am a 6'5"  Point / Shooting guard.  I am currently playing at the International Sports Academy in Cleveland, Ohio since January 2021.  I played my High School Basketball at Scots College, New Zealand on an Athletic Basketball Scholarship.  I am 18 years old and am passionate about Basketball.  I have trained with the New Zealand Basketball Academy for the last seven years.  I have a dual citizenship both USA and New Zealand.

I have been travelling to Las Vegas every July since 2013 to play in prominent Basketball Tournaments.  This is so that I can measure myself against some of the best USA players in my age grade.  I use these Tournaments to see what I need to work on when I return to New Zealand.

My father was a Professional Basketball player and McDonalds All American in the 80's and played for Long Beach Poly High School.  My mother also played for New Zealand in Touch Football.  My parents support my goal of playing  Basketball at the highest level.  I was a gym rat from a very young age following my father and this is where I learnt to put in the hard work.  I would love to experience playing College ball in packed stadiums like he did, as I enjoy the hype and the pressure of playing in the big games.

I am a very competitive player with a strong work ethic and will do whatever is needed for our team to win.   I would give a 100% to any team that I am selected for.

I have been fortunate in giving back to our community through coaching and mentoring youth grades through our Basketball Club and whilst attending the NBA Basketball Academy in India was able to coach alongside NBA players in the Indian communities.

I am looking to pursue a career in Sports Management and Marketing as I am very interested in what goes on behind the sports scene.

I would like to thank you for the opportunity and taking the time to look at my profile.

regards

Ezekiel Stallworth
