Personal Statement
As a son of two former high level basketballers, I was always destined to love the game. Fortunately my parents gave me the genetics, metrics and coaching to hopefully be successful at a sport I am very passionate about.
As part of my journey I was fortunate enough to have visited the USA in late 2018 as part of the Nunawading Spectres Youth Touring Team (video highlights attached) to determine if i wanted to attend College to further my aspirations... I loved playing basketball in the USA and therefore I am trying to get myself into the College system.
Some of my accomplishments include being a member of the Western Australian U/18 State Country team to play at the National Championships in 2017, I was reserve for the State U/20 Men's team twice (2019 and 2018) and played at the Australian School Sport National Championships in 2018. I am also currently training for and have competed over the past two years at the highest level in Western Australia, in the State Men's Basketball League.
I believe I have the following character strengths and attributes that would greatly assist me in a College program:
Character - Team member, courage, work ethic, strong willed, resilient and out going.
Athletic - Shooting, length, ability to stretch the floor with rebound and run , court vision and defensive versatility.
Academic - willing to learn and try to the best of my ability.
