Personal Statement
Playing basketball at the college level has always been my dream since I started basketball. I am fully committed to the game and have an unmatched work ethic both on and off the court. I always prioritize my academics and excel in my classes.
On the court, I am an extremely hard worker. I love to put in that extra work outside of team practices and am constantly looking for ways to better my game. I am a highly skilled offensive player who can score on all 3 levels. I am also a great on-ball and team defender. My main strength, however, is shooting. I can shoot from anywhere on the floor, both off the catch and off the dribble. I have put in countless hours and reps into becoming the shooter that I am today and will continue to work to become even better. I am a great teammate and very coachable, always seeking out teaching from coaches and using their advice to help me improve my game.
Having played basketball in Japan, I have learned many of their strengths. The Japanese game emphasizes aggressive on-ball defense and fast, transition offense, which I have been able to add to my own game. This experience makes me a unique player and I would seize the opportunity to continue to develop as a high-level student-athlete at the collegiate level.
