I have always had aspirations of playing basketball at the next level. My father played basketball at both Indiana University and Vanderbilt University. My earliest memories include a basketball in my hand and spending time in the gym with him. I have dreamed of following in his footsteps of playing collegiately. I am determined to do everything in my power to make this dream a reality.
I am goal oriented and have worked hard to constantly improve my basketball skills daily. I am a team leader and try to set an example for the rest of my peers. I am committed to the sport that I love. I have traveled for the past 4 years with a grassroots team, Team 2024, based out of Kansas. We have experienced great success competing across the Midwest. We recently traveled to Las Vegas and took 1st place in the BigFoot Hoops Classic Event dominating teams from surrounding states. We look forward to kicking off our spring season beginning April 1st in the new Pro16-NXT league. I have attended showcase events, camps, and participate in one-on-one training with my Mac-town CrossFit trainer & Terrance Grant with PGU. I exhibit mental toughness, can read the court, have strong effective ball-handling skills, am coachable, and display solid fundamentals. There is rarely a day that goes by that I do not get into a gym to get shots off. I am thankful my parents instilled in me the value of hard work. I am quickly realizing this has been the foundation of my success on and off the court. I acknowledge nothing will be handed to me and I must go after what I want and put the time in. I hope to put this same commitment into a collegiate program.
Off the court, I am a dedicated student and have maintained a high GPA which has kept me on the honor roll throughout high school. I am a member of the National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the vice president of our FFA chapter. I enjoy the outdoors. If I am not on a court, I can be found fishing, hunting, or helping out on our ranch.
Ultimately I would like to find a college that would match both my academic major in Business and complement my desire for competitiveness. I am open to all options. I want to continue to play the sport that has always been part of my life.
