Isaiah Heredia '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches,

My name is Isaiah Lucas Heredia, I’m currently finishing up my sophomore year at 4A Buhler High School located in Buhler, KS. I’m 5”11”, 155lbs. Starting Varsity Point Guard and Shooting Guard. I have been playing basketball since kindergarten and found a deep love for the game. I’ve been the starting point guard in every team I’ve played with since Kindergarten. As I start my junior year next year, I am preparing myself for the next level academically and athletically.

I am the oldest of seven siblings and I am humbled to have this responsibility. My siblings look up to me and they are one reason why I strive hard in everything that I do in life. While playing basketball my entire life I have learned to stay humble, establish a strong work-ethic and appreciate every moment I get to play ball. I come from a strong military family where discipline, dedication, and giving my best at all times is a must. My family has gone through a lot of adversity and basketball was a way for me to become resilient by pushing through that adversity.

My goal is to be proactive and get to know all the different programs that are out there. I’m looking for a program where I can be challenged academically as well as athletically and allow me to apply my skills to succeed in the program. I have always been told by my coaches and teachers that I am very coachable, respectful, caring of others, humbled and a great leader. My defense is amongst the best that is out there. Many players are great shooters until I’m guarding them. I’ve been told I have some of the quickest hands and outstanding ball handling. On the court I've been told that I have a direct impact on the momentum of the game. My characteristics of a student athlete is a testament of my parents’ upbringing.
