My name is Devin, and I have been playing sports for as long as I can remember. Growing up my favorites were football, basketball and baseball. I played them all competitively up until my freshman year in high school. Then I decided to just play football and basketball because unfortunately my AAU basketball schedule didn't match up with baseball. I was a starter as a sophomore in football and basketball and earned a varsity letter in both sports. That was a huge accomplishment for me! I was the only sophomore to even make the varsity basketball team and worked really hard to achieve that goal. One of my biggest future goals is to play basketball in college and if I continue to work hard I dream of even playing beyond that!
2014-15 is my senior year in high school and I will continue to play with my high school football and basketball teams, as well as my AAU basketball team for the 2014 summer. I have a high level of of commitment to my coaches and teammates and look in the future to be part of a college team that feels the same.
I am listed as a shooting guard, although I have played the 3, and 4 positions depending on my teams' need. I am often asked to play in the 2 or 3 spot and then switch to post to create a mismatch. My coaches tell me they like the versatility I bring the team and that I am coachable and listen well. I just want to do what needs to be done to win!
Please come watch me play. Go to the events tab on my profile page to see the list of summer tournaments I'll be playing in. I look forward to meeting you!
