Dylan Simpson '17 Recruiting Profile

I would love the opportunity to play basketball at the collegiate level.  While I have played multiple sports in high school, basketball is my first love.  I have enjoyed playing multiple sports and the opportunities they have provided me such as participating in the State Cross Country Meet 5 years,  the State Track Meet for 2 years, and being named All District in Soccer each year that I played, but basketball is what I would like the opportunity to play in college.  I have been playing basketball since the age of 5 and before that I was in the gym because both of my parents were basketball coaches.   Because of my time in the gym, I feel that I have a high basketball IQ and great work ethic.  I am a team leader in every sport that I participate in as I try to lead by example as well as help encourage my teammates.  I have been the leading scorer on my high school team since my freshman year, while being named All District my sophomore, junior, and senior year. I am most proud to have been named to the All Region team for Region 2 my junior year and senior year.  I am a hard worker on and off the court, as I am currently ranked number one in my class while participating in multiple sports, volunteering with the local youth basketball program during the winter, and working during the summers.
