My name is Dorian Hayes, and I am the point Guard for Elton High. I am 17 years old, and I will be gradutating in 2016. Playing basketball successfully in college is one of my biggest goals. I am a very hard working and dedicated athlete. I do whatever it takes, and more to make sure I can be the best player of my potential. My determination, hard work, and intelligence on and off the court is what separates me from other recruits. I may be a small guard, but my athleticism and my basketball IQ is what allows me to compete with any guard no matter the size. I am a pass-first guard, with a strong ability to score at will whether its driving to the paint or shooting from the outside. Setting up the offense, and putting my teammates in the best position to score is what i base my game around. I also believe that there is no offense without defense. I enjoy the intensity of defense, especially when it is being played as a team. I am a very coach-able player, and I'm always willing to do the most work for my team to be successful. I believe my team comes first.
Off of the court, I am a student at Elton High. I have a cumulative GPA of 3.8, and an ACT score of 22. I have never gotten into any serious trouble at school, or outside of school. I plan to attend a four-year college and graduate with a masters degree in the engineering field.
