To Whom it May Concern,
This is a recommendation for Andy Sobhani to be on your basketball team. I coached Andy this past spring/summer as he played on my AAU team, Howard County Elite. Andy was a joy to coach for many reasons. As a player, he is smart, athletic, and has good skills. As a person, he is very nice and easy to get along with. Andy always got along with his teammates and never had any issues with anyone.
More specifically as a player; Andy has a very nice jump shot with elite athleticism that he uses to get his shot off over taller players. Having grown over 6 inches in the past 2 years, he is still learning how to play inside but he can offer an inside and outside game at the college level. Just like Andy is a late bloomer in the growth department, he is also a late bloomer as a basketball player. He has the size, athleticism, and skills to contribute to a college team. I believe Andy’s best basketball days are still ahead of him.
Andy has a great family as his dad even helped me get gym time for our team during the pandemic this summer. Andy would always show up to practice on time and do whatever I asked him to do.
All in all, Andy was a joy to coach and would be a great addition to any college basketball program.
Sincerely,
Eddie O’Malley
