Hello Coaches,
My name is Jared Jackson and I love the game of basketball. Ever since I was introduced to the game in 1st grade, I haven't been able to get enough of it. I'm not one of those players who will go out there and give you 30 Points and 15 Assists a night. My game revolves around my determination and knowing that I can out work my opponent. What I lack in natural ability, I make up for with hard work. I know in order to be the best you have to push yourself, and that's what I want to do. Last year was a rough year for me because I have never really sat on the sidelines a lot. As a junior i had to watch my seniors go out and give it all mostly from the bench. I learned a lot from all of those seniors and I hope to use the things that they taught me to become a better basketball player. Off the floor, I'm imvolved in things like NHS and events that go through my church. I pride myself on my academics because I know that one day, there wont be sports anymore and I will have to finally start the rest of my life and an education is very important to a successful life. I'm in the stage right now where I have absolutely no idea what I want to do with my life, but I know i want basketball to be with me as long as possible. My coach, my teammates and myself are expecting a solid performance from me every night now and I'm willing to do what it takes to live up to those expectations.
