I love basketball. When I was 4 years old, I would go to our YMCA every day and shoot until I made 100 baskets. As I grew older, the game revealed complexities of positioning and movement. The better the competition, the more challenges I had to overcome. My family taught me that grit, hard work, and sacrifice are a big part of becoming a successful person. With that mindset, I have the ability to succeed in any task, whether it is academic or athletic. My academic goals are to find the field of study that I love as much as basketball, then find the right college with high standards for my major to prepare me for my career and where I can continue to learn and develop at basketball. My strength in basketball is that I am a two way player. I play defense and offense equally well. Because of my length I am a great shot blocker and have a great post-up game balanced with a very good long and mid-range shot. I am dedicated to working on my weaknesses. I have the drive and determination to do whatever it takes to improve and become a more well rounded player. I spend a lot of my free time in the gym working on ball handling and speed and agility.
