Hello, My name is Deontae Macey. I’m from Lansing, Michigan and I’m 18 years old. I graduated from East Lansing High School located in East Lansing, Michigan in 2024, with a 3.88 GPA and an insane amount of academic and athletic achievements. I’m a 6’4”, 205-pound, Guard/Forward, Freshman college transfer, with a 6’4” wingspan from Rome City Institute located in Rome, Italy. I decided to withdrawal from Rome City Institute and explore other college options. I'm a hard worker and have never given up. School first, hoops second. I’m always in the gym, working on my craft and learning new ways to get better. Basketball has helped me in many ways and has shaped me into the person I am today. I'm a great leader and have always been a leader in the classroom as well as on the court. During the time I was at Rome City Institute, I averaged 17.7 PPG, 17.3 EFF, 9.7 RPG, 1.3 APG, 2 STL, 50 - FT%, 51.5 - 2PT%, 33.3 - 3PT%. I did a really good job in the limited amount of games I played while being there. I feel like I can play any position and will succeed at that position with the hard work and dedication I have for the game. Basketball has truly saved my life. I started when I was 4 years old and haven’t had a thought about giving it up since. I know that I can fit into anyone’s college team and will succeed at it. I want to push everyone around me to get better and become the player they want to be. I love basketball with everything I have, I've been around the game of basketball my whole life and I want to become great at it. I just need a program to believe in me and I promise won’t let you down.
