Brennen Bargesser '21 Recruiting Profile

I have big goals for myself just as any other athlete does, however, my work ethic is what sets me apart. I treat every time I play as though it was the last time I ever would. I love seeing results from my hard work and even more so, I love the process. I am very coachable and I value receiving direction from coaches. I excel with my speed as I am also a track runner. I have multiple all-conference awards for track and I have learned to use that speed on the court. I am also serious about working out, as I know the impact strength has on the basketball court. I have a good shot and can take the ball to the hoop through contact with the help of my speed and strength. I have great stamina and I am able to work hard for a long time. I also do a great job of sharing the ball as I know the value of working as a team. I’m not a selfish player, and I realize that I am only as good as my team as a whole. My ultimate goal is to play at the collegiate level.

Not only do I work hard on the court, but I work very hard in the classroom as well. I have a 3.987 GPA, my lowest class grade being an A-. I study hard and I am a great student. I challenge myself, taking both college courses and AP classes as I maintain being a part of the top 5 students in my class. As important as it is for me to play basketball collegiately, I know that I must work even harder to be a good student so I can succeed in life after sports. It takes a lot of commitment to be in the top of my class academically while standing out athletically, and I have the dedication to continue to do so. 

I am blessed to have the opportunity to play a sport I love while becoming the best person I can be. I am a great Student-Athlete and I will continue to work hard on and off the court, making an impact however I can.
