Coming from a small rural town on the east coast of Michigan, basketball isn't very popular. Where I'm from no one gravitates towards basketball the way I do, that's what I've used to set myself apart from everyone to be different. Ever since my best friend's dad taught me how to shoot a jump shot in my driveway I've been hooked on the game. I love learning and watching basketball just as much as I love playing. Playing basketball for a city that doesn't have much interest in the sport has only made my passion for the game grow. Through everything basketball has taught me, the moment that made me grow most as an athlete was when our football team got upset in the second round of the playoffs. We were ranked the number one team in the state and got bounced early. This showed to me that you always have to go out and earn whats in front of you and to never stop working hard because someone else always is. I am looking for a program that won't only help me grow as a player but help me grow as a person. I am a pass first point guard who's a strong floor general and loves competing in everything. Being a three sport athlete in a small town where your brought up playing against older, stronger and better athletes, I hope to bring my fiery sprit and competitive grit to the next level.
