James Fisher '21 Recruiting Profile

Having been at a small school in Canada - especially in terms of sports - for most of high school, I have excelled in competitive basketball and, despite little exposure, I have still seen interests from Canadian universities. Several coaches and game referees have continually been inquiring if I have future plans for after high school, seeing much potential for higher level play. Being a school that focusses on academics and the formation of responsible persons, not too much time has been given to basketball, especially with my duties as the school captain - a fact that had inquirers even more impressed with what they see. Now, going into my last season before approaching college, I am going to be playing back in our great country and, more motivated than ever, more attention can and will be given, not only to developing basketball skills, but to the development of an athletic physique, ready for the competitive college game. Thus I am ready to devote much more time to basketball in a college/university if given a good opportunity and scholarship as I hope to receive in the U.S.A. as opposed to - perhaps a less opportunity filled - Canada. I will, as I do now, strive for greatness as a leader, not only on the court, but also in the classroom. I can assure anyone who gives me an opportunity will be given an opportunity to be assured of their good choice.  As always being motivated to greatness,  I leave you with the proverb: "If you are what you should be, you will set the world ablaze."
