First off it has been my life long goal to play college basketball. I started playing local when I was 4. I began traveling and playing up 1 to 2 grades when i was 7. Basketball has taking me all over the country. There is no better feeling then traveling around the U.S showcasing your talent vs the top teams in the country and at the top camps in the country. At that point I realized my hard work and dedication was paying off just like my father would always preach at our 5am daily workouts. Some of my accolades include but are not limited to setting 8th grade record 52 pt in a game, First team all league on varsity as a freshman, varsity football as a freshman, all academic team, All State honorable mention. What makes me a good candidate to be a college student athlete are my basketball IQ and coachability mixed with a dynamic skill set and athletic ability. That allows me to score in multiple ways as well as attack and get my teammate easy looks.
When I think about what makes me different from other recruits, I would have to say my heart and determination to win and get better every day. I'm aware that is tough to measure with stats. I will be the first to get on the floor to a loose ball, I always lead my teams in offensive rebound and deflections. I take pride in defense, doing my job and holding myself and my teammates accountable. I have a 4.0 GPA not because I'm the smartest person I know but because I approach the classroom like I do everything in life with a will and drive to be the best version of me.
