Regarding my collegiate goals, I would like to play in a quality program, with a great coach, and good fan base. I haven't sat on the bench at any stage in my basketball career - I like to be on the floor. So, I would like to find a program that provides me with a realistic opportunity to play a lot if I do the work to get better. I like basketball competition to be challenging, tough at times, but also to be fun.
With respect to what makes me a good candidate for your team, from a basketball standpoint, I am strong, quick, and skilled, and can score at all three levels. Also, I seem to play my best in the biggest games, and like to have the ball in the big moments. In addition, I think I am tough, unselfish, and a good teammate. I also come from a family of good athletes, as my older brother (Thomas) is a professional golfer, and my older sister (Madeline) is a professional track & field runner. Good genes!
Concerning what makes me different from other recruits/athletes in character, athletics, and academics, I believe that I am a person of high character, someone that has a good work ethic, is trustworthy, responsible, and not into drugs or alcohol. Athletically, I have played at the highest levels of AAU basketball, and have competed well. Also, I have played soccer at a high level. Academically, currently my weighted GPA is 3.41. Finally, my father was a U.S. diplomat, and therefore my family and I have lived much of my life overseas in places like Doha (Qatar), Hong Kong, and Guangzhou (China). I think that my overseas experience has provided me with a valuable education about people of other cultures, and I think it has given me a different outlook on global affairs and cultures, including how foreigners view the USA.
