My name is Davis Artisensi-Skime. I was born and raised in Central Minnesota. I am a dedicated student and athlete to my studies and sports. When I commit, I commit 100% to all that I do; this is evident by my current GPA and the athletic accomplishments I have achieved so far. I have been called a "quiet leader" by my teachers, peers, and coaches both in the classroom and on the court/field. I lead by example and provide encouragement for my teammates and classmates. I am currently competing in basketball and football at the High School level, and just finished my AAU career for the MN Comets Elite in the spring . I have received a varsity letter in all sports from my freshman year through my current junior year. I also have been named to the Granite Ridge All Conference Academic Team from 2020-2023 in all the sports I have participate in. I am honored to have been named the Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year on the Zimmerman HS JV Team in my 2019-2020 Freshman season. I have been a starter on our varsity both my sophomore and juniors years and was named Defensive player of the year both seasons. This past season I was named all Conference Honorable Mention and have been named a Captain for this next upcoming season.
When I am not in the classroom , weight room or the court/field/course, I enjoy the outdoors MN has to offer. I love spring, summer and fall for fishing on the lakes in my area for crappie and bass. I enjoy deer hunting with my dad, grandpa and uncle. I am an avid shoe and NBA basketball card collector as one of my favorite hobbies to do with my entire family. I will never turn down a driveway game of pick-up basketball with the neighbors or friends walking by or working on my basketball game with my brother. I have enjoy being a shooting guard/power forward on the MN Comets Elite AAU basketball team for the last five years. I am look forward to my senior season.
I am searching for and am open to all the right college opportunities that might be out there for me. I am open to just about any size college and location. I would prefer to stay in the Mid-West but am open to traveling outside of that area for the right school/sports fit for me. I am interested in studying engineering. I would like to find a college that allows me to continue to excel in my studies while pursing my degree but also allow me to feel supported in my studies so I can enjoy playing basketball at the college level also. I am looking for a college where I feel like I fit/belong on the campus and with the team.
If you are looking for a student athlete that will persevere under challenges and pressure (including the end of the game free-throws) I am your person!
