Personal Statement

I am Ladarius Anderson out of Jackson, MS. Some of my goals are to achieve a score of 24 on the ACT and  to receive a college basketball scholarship. I seek out to achieve these goals through hard work in the classroom and constant work and dedication to the game of basketball. One thing that makes me different from other players is my mindset. I don't let things get in the way of me achieving my goals and dreams. There may be guys that are more athletic than me, but you will never out work me or out smart me. I believe in order to be successful, you must get out of your comfort zone.

  • ScoutsFocus Elite 80 Evaluation Ladarius Anderson , a 6'2 2018 153 lb prospect of Provine HS (MS), is a solid player with potential. Ladarius possesses fantastic size for position and the prospect has good length and very good athleticism. Ladarius reported a superb academic resume and proved to have a very good basketball IQ. The prospect displayed good shot selection in addition to being a superb shooter with time and space. The prospect was evaluated as having a good body type for the next level. The player's strength was rate d decent but should continue to develop with age and a regimented weight/conditioning program that includes push ups/jumping rope amongst other body weight and quickness drills. The player displayed a very good motor in addition to showing very good toughness. The 2018 prospect exemplified good passing ability and very good ball handling skills. Finishing ability around the basket appeared to be superb and from an overall defensive standpoint the prospect is very good. Defensively we would like to see continued improvement both on and off the ball in addition to always seeing ball and man. We would emphasize staying lower on both ends of the court. In addition, we would like you to continue learning how to play without the ball as most players only have the ball a max of 10% of the game (even less if you have ball stoppers on your team). We are excited to monitor this prospect's development in the future and would like to see continued improvement in all areas we rated as decent or go od to fully maximize college potential. ScoutsFocus and our college coaching staff believes Ladarius has scholarship potential with continued hard work and development both in the classroom and on the hardwood. Can play the 1; 2.
