Cain Couch '18 Recruiting Profile

    My name is Cain Couch and I'm a senior at Plato High School in Plato, MO.  I'm pursuing the possibility of playing basketball at the college level.  I have played all four years at the varsity level.  I’ve also played for Ozark Elite, Missouri Mavericks, and Rising Stars during the AAU seasons.  This last AAU season, I averaged 20.9 points while shooting 48%, 75% from the foul line, along with 8.1 rebounds and 6.3 assists.  I am 6’0 tall with a 6’2 wingspan and weigh 160 pounds.  I have a 38-inch vertical.

    Academically, I am involved in multiple business courses.  Currently, I’m taking Intro to Business, Intro to Management, College Algebra, English Comp and Business as dual credit courses.  I’m also involved in FBLA.   Business Management/Marketing is the major I would like to pursue in college. I’m involved in the A+ program.  I currently have an accumulative GPA of 3.28/4.0. My most recent ACT score is 18, but I’m planning to take the test again to raise that number.

    I am invested and dedicated to our community.  Through my participation in the A+ program, I have gained over 75 hours in community service while working with younger kids in our school district. I am a member of the local Roby Baptist Youth Group.   Currently, I’m the Middle School Boys’ Basketball Team Manager at my school.  This has proven to be another great experience, as I’m seeing another side of the sport.

    My high school basketball career has been a rocky road.  Through injury and coaching turnovers, I have maintained a passion and love for the game.  I have a strong work ethic that has allowed me to overcome difficult situations.  I’m extremely coachable and willing to learn new perspectives from different sources.  My dedication to the sport and improving my skills is second to none.
