Kenny Helgeson '28 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kenny Helgeson. I am from a small town in Montana called Box Elder. Growing up on the Reservation there is a lot of generational trauma. You see people walking on the roads with no shirts boarded up houses and graffiti. Most people drink alcohol and do drugs. I grew up with very little people to look up to. I was always taught to surround myself with people that have good dreams and work hard. I love the game of Basketball. When i’m out there on that hardwood I don’t have to worry about anything expect just doing my thing hooping. I work my butt off in school and especially on that hardwood. I always try to be better than I was yesterday. I am a multi sport athlete and play football and run track. I really try to make my teammates better. I feel I am a try PG and don’t care about scoring or any of those highlights I simply just do whatever it takes to win.
