I started playing basketball competitively when I was 8 years old. I have always played basketball with my two younger brothers and my dad. My dad has taught me how to shoot and all of the post moves I know. My mom and dad have always pushed me to be the best I can be in the classroom and in sports. They also helped me become a three sport athlete with football which I have received an all-conference honarable mention award my junior year, basketball, and golf that I have received the award all- conference both my freshman and sophomore years. My parents have also taught me that if you work at something as hard as you can, things will start to work out for you. I am willing to work on any flaw in my game and learn new things.
The best part of my high school career so far is making it to the class C divisional tournament. My freshman year we took third, but I feel like I didn't really help my team on the floor. My sophomore year we got a new coach and the end of the regular season we came into districts with the sixth seed. We upset the number three and four seed sending us to districts and winning the consolation game. This was great because everybody had written us off. I was the sixth man with one start my sophomore year and it helped me realize that their is way more to being a basketball player than just scoring the ball. I helped my team with good picks, good defense, and rebounding. I believe that everyone on the team has an important part. I feel like I am still growing into being a better player both offensively and defensively.
