Elijah Burney '23 Recruiting Profile

I am a true Freshman qualifier Point Guard at NJCAA Division 1 Western Nebraska Community College. We compete in Region IX this 2023-2024 season went 24-9 finished as regular season champions and was conference tournament runner-up. I'm majoring in Business Marketing and maintain a 3.0 GPA. On the court I am a speedy, hard-nosed and scrappy point guard with a high level of skill as well as a defensive specialist. I consider myself a leader, playmaker and defender at the PG spot. I like using my court vision always to move the ball and get my teammates involved early and often as a play-maker. I also take pride in getting into the paint when needed and my perimeter shooting. I can score either by knocking down open shots or by attacking the basket when needed finishing with either hand and getting to the free-throw line. On the defensive side I enjoy the challenge of on the ball defense and playing/denying passing lanes to pick off passes and taking charges!. Originally from Las Vegas, NV where I graduated from Centennial High School c/o 2023 and was a 2023 Nevada Coaches Association All Conference Honorable Mention.
