Being a three season athlete, I think my athletic director has seen the leadership role I play within my school. As a result the last two years he has sent me to the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association Leadership Conference. This conference supplies me with the tools needed to return to school and be a role model for other athletes in regards to drug/alcohol use. My guidance counselor sent me to HOBY, Hugh O'brien Youth Leadership Camp, this is a camp about thinking outside yourself to make our world better by volunteering in our communities. I am also a member of NH Legislative Youth Advisory Counsel, this group meets once a month to discuss with our legislatures what is important to our age group. My senior year schedule has been designed so I can fulfill an internship with US Senator Kelly Ayotte.
My college aspirations, including continuing my leadership, studying history, finance, business. Improving as an athlete and hopefully being a role model to even more people. As an athlete I know I still have room to improve, and I am willing to work hard to see the results. Being a student is amazing, being an athlete is fulfilling but as a citizen I enjoy being aware of my society, and government as well. These three activities keep me very busy and I enjoy every minute.
