It has always been an aspiration of mine to play college basketball. My whole life I have been working towards reaching that goal. I spend hours in the gym before school, after practice, and late at night just trying to get better all while maintaining honor roll grades. I like to work hard in everything I do, whether it be basketball, school work, or labor. I pride myself on being the hardest worker on and off the court.
In basketball, I play hard in every aspect of the game. When playing defense I make sure to be the loudest on the court, communicating on and off of the ball. When on offense, I find gaps in the defense, open teammates, and attack my defender's weaknesses. I like to take my time on offense, not rushing anything, and constantly moving without the ball. If I am on the bench, I make sure to communicate with teammates on the floor and make sure to be as supportive as possible.
What makes me different from other recruits is my basketball IQ. Like I said above, I find weaknesses and strengths in my opponents game and attack them when possible. When playing defense I make sure to communicate as loud as I can and do the same thing on offense. My decision making also contributes to my basketball IQ. When I get the ball, I already know if I am going to shoot, drive, pass, or reset the offense. I am always ready to shoot and always looking for lanes to cut through without the ball. My basketball IQ is what makes me different from other recruits.
