My goal, is to be better each day than I was the day before. Not only as a ball player, but as a man! I am coachable and respectful. I take instruction & criticism well.
Nothing, in this life has ever been handed to me. I work hard, and strive to do well in all aspects of my life. I’ve always had a learning disability (being born at 1lb 13 oz.) However, I’ve maintained academics in mainstream classes-(with some assistance).
I hope to one day earn a living , while doing what I LOVE (playing ball). I want to be able to give back to my mother, and also to my community - who have supported & believed in me - even when they could barely support themselves. I believe I would be an asset to any college team, because I take instruction well. I work HARD - I strive for greatness!
I want to grow in leadership and in character! I WILL WORK HARD - every minute of every day. As tomorrow is not promised. I’ve lived my life this way. My mom lost my dad brutally, while she was pregnant with me. I never heard her make excuses for hard work. I rarely heard her complain about all of the responsibilities she had. She got up everyday-she went to work and she went to school FOR ME! When I needed her support, because I was struggling academically or otherwise-she was there. These are the attributes that I will one day pass along to my children. Basketball, has helped me to come out of my shell - so that I’m able to express these things. Although, I’m still pretty quiet, I know how and when to lead. I also know when to fall back, and let my team mates shine. Teamwork, is what it’s all about. Having that chemistry-that vibe! There’s NOTHING LIKE IT! Basketball, is my passion! One, that I hope I can share with teammate’s who are like family on & off the court.
To me, that’s winning.
