Jacob Gibbons '22 Recruiting Profile

For as long as I can remember I've had a basketball in my hand.  There is a photo on my desk that was taken on my second birthday , it is an image of me standing next to a hoop with the biggest smile on my face .  Every night I sit at that desk to do my homework I am reminded that my love for the game of basketball has had a profound and positive impact on my life .  For many people basketball is simply fun to watch or play.  For me basketball has taught a lifetime of valuable experiences ; discipline , focus, leadership, persistence and perhaps most importantly , to believe in myself and never give up .  Everything I have learned on the court I have applied off the court , in my family , schoolwork, friendships , and in the greater community .  It is my goal to attend a four - year college where I can make a contribution to the team and continue to grow as a player and a student.
