Personal Statement

My name is Aaren Smith, a Post Graduate at Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. I am very competitive, and I want to absolutely dominate wherever I take my talents. I am extremely late in the recruiting process but I am hungry and will not stop until I am where I want to be. I'm a very versatile guard at 6'6(still growing) and 17 years old. I can do a lot of things for a team beyond just scoring such as intense pursuits for rebounds. I take pride in playing energetic defense and locking up whoever has the audacity to attempt to score on me. I do not like to talk about my game, I let my game speak for itself. I'm known for being a "silent assassin". I want to win national championships, build great relationships, and continue to grow as a person.

Helping people from all aspects is a passion of mine and I am looking to possibly express it in the Medical field which I'd take internationally one day. Since I was younger, I have always felt the need to help people and I have remained the same at heart and would love to make a career out of it. I want to pursue professional basketball. With a great coach....all of the above can/ will happen.

Where I grew into an all around versatile player. Developed a well improved jump shot from all areas of the floor. This is where my dribbling skills came into place and were soon incorporated into my game. Developed a good understanding of the pick and roll from the POV of the player setting and receiving the pick.
