My name is David Mager. Basketball has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Learning and playing basketball is my passion and has played a pivotal role in developing me into the student/athelete that I have become.
I was born with dyslexia and adhd and have always had to develop strategies and work harder and longer to achieve my academic and life goals. This has resulted in a dogged determination to succeed in spite of any challenge and has made me into the fierce competitor that I am today. The thing that has always drawn me to basketball is the idea of being a part of a team working together tirelessly to achieve a common goal.
I am very proud of what I have achieved this past season, starting every game and leading my team in scoring with 443 points for a 19.6 PPG average while helping to lead my team to a league championship and being recognized with MVP, All League and All County honors. This spring and summer I am playing AAU Basketball for the very prestigious UA Team Rio National in the Hoop Group League for the second year in a row. I work hard every day on my game and on my strength and conditioning.
For my collegiate years it is my goal to be able to get an excellent education while contemporaneously playing for a great Division I college program where I can grow my skills and help my team any way that I can. I look forward to hearing from any school interested in learning more about me.
