Mason Mangione '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Mason Mangione, and I am from Glen Rock, NJ. I am a 6'3 shooting guard/forward with deep range.  I just finished my junior year and second year of starting on Varsity. Last season as a Sophomore, I started with four seniors and averaged 13.2 pts per game. I helped my team to the 3rd round of the state sectionals for the first time in 15 seasons. I was named First Team in the NJIC Colonial Division for the 2022/2023 season.  Most recently, I was named a top 50 junior in the state of NJ and was nominated player of the year in the NJIC Conference. I have been called one of the top shooters in Northern NJ, but I can also attack the basket and get to the line consistently. In my Junior season, I averaged 17 pts per game, made 84 3 ptrs, shot 38% from 3 pt range, and shot 90.1% from the FT line.  We again made it to the 3rd round of the state sectionals and lost by 5 in OT.

I was recently named 1st Team All-County, the first player in school history to be named to the first team.  I was also named 1st team all Conference and 1st team all North Jersey Section 2 team.  I currently have a 3.6 GPA and have made the Honor Roll multiple times.  All my coaches at every level say that my ability to create space on the floor and my IQ for the game sets me apart besides my shooting. More importantly, I am proud to be a great teammate.  I currently play AAU with the NJ Beasts.  I aim to play at the next level, where I can thrive on and off the court and find the right program.  Thanks to all of the coaches who have shown interest in me so far.
