2021 SpotlightPersonal Statement
My name is Maysen Lane, I am a 6'4" SG/SF who plays for Hillsborough High School and Sina Hoop Academy (AAU) in New Jersey. Hillsborough competes in the competitive Non-Public Group 4 division, and SHA (AAU) competes in leagues and tournaments in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, which includes NCAA Live Period events.
I consider myself a quick and physical player on both sides of the ball that can shoot as well as efficiently finish around the rim and would like an opportunity to be placed on your radar for 2022. Also, I am a versatile player that can defend, pull down rebounds, handle the ball and score.
I am still physically growing and training to refine my game and looking forward to showing coaches my progress throughout my 2021/22 High School and AAU seasons.
Besides basketball, I also want to share that I finished my junior year with a 4.0 GPA and maintained a cumulative 3.8 GPA. This includes taking some Honors and AP classes since my freshman year. I believe that I embody what it means to be a student-athlete. I plan on studying business or communications.
