Dear Coach,
I hope this email finds you well. I am writing this email to introduce myself and connect with you or another member of the coaching staff. My name is Chase Clarke and I am a junior at Newark Academy in Livingston, NJ. I play basketball for Unity Legends in Summit NJ and I am a 6’6 210 pound wing that can grab both offensive and defensive rebounds as well as get to the basket as I please.
Additionally, I also have been playing varsity basketball for my high school team for the last 3 years. As you can appreciate, there have been limited opportunities to compete this year as a result of the pandemic. So, I was especially proud to have achieved the 1,000 point mark earlier this season for my high school team in only 2 and a half seasons.
As a student at an academically rigorous high school, I am most interested in attending a college where I can grow as both a scholar and an athlete. I have attached my current high school transcript and school profile for your review.
I would love to have the opportunity to speak about my potential fit with both the school and the team. I appreciate both your time and consideration and look forward to hearing from you soon.
Thank you for your time and consideration,
Chase Clarke
