Jared Shill '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'1" point guard/shooting guard from Woodcliff Lake, NJ and currently a junior who played varsity basketball for Pascack Hills HS, located in Montvale, NJ. During this past season, 2010/2011, I was a varsity starter for every game of our 30 game season. I led the team in scoring at 12.9 points per game while also managing 5 rebounds and 3 assists per game. We won a school record 27 games versus 3 losses and captured a North 1 Group 2 NJ State Sectional Championship, our schools 5th. Personally, I was selected 3rd team All-State Junior Team, 3rd team All-New Jersey Group 2, unanimous 2nd team All-Bergen County and unanimous 1st team All-NJIC Colonial Division A selection. During the 2009/2010, my sophomore season, I played on the varsity team and averaged 8.4 points per game and 3.0 steals per game. During the prior year 2008/2009, I played on the freshman team & led my team to the Bergen County NJ Semifinals averaging 22.0 points per game as co-captain of the team. I have a 3.42 GPA. My AAU team is the Hoop Star Gym Ratz and I have started on the 17U team for the last 2 seasons. We compete at the National level and have traveled to Florida, Pittsburg, West virginia and Las Vegas for different tournaments. I have played & competed against many of the top players in the country. I am looking to find a school, a coach and an environment that enables me to continue to develop skills where I can be successful on and off the court and also be an inspiration to my family, friends and community. I feel that I can compete at the Division 1, 2, and 3 level. Preferably, I am looking for a school that is located East of the Mississippi River but I would consider other locations if the fit was right for me.
