I have loved sports and competing in athletic events my whole life. At age 5 I was swimming competitively against 9 year olds and winning. For many years on my town baseball teams I was often the MVP, leading the team in home runs, triples, RBI's, batting average, slugging percentage, put outs and fielding percentage (first basemen). Being the biggest and tallest student in the entire high school on day one, I played JV and freshman football (offensive line) and was awarded Offensive Player of the Year. As I grew I was able to compete on a "bigger stage" and have won several first place swimming trophies in Bergen County, New Jersey (population over 900,000). Growing a couple of inches each year, I became more interested in basketball, making my high school varsity team last year as a junior. Every basketball game I played in last year, I was able to score, rebound, and block at least one shot, with the opposing team scoring very few points in the paint. I also had at least one double-double game. As I continue to grow, I believe my new height, at 6'9, will allow me to be a key part of the 2016/17 varsity team. My goal is to continue basketball in college and look for a team and a coach that can maximize my 6'9 frame and athletic ability. I believe that with the right fit, I could be a major asset to a team.
