Devin Conkling '18 Recruiting Profile

I am a junior guard with two years of varsity experience. I am a "pass-first" guard, always looking to get my teammates involved and that is what I am best at. Some of my all time favorite players are names like Larry Bird, Steve Nash,  John Stockton and they encourage me to keep passing the ball and to keep doing what I do best. Although I love to spread the ball around, I also have a very good 3 ball and am able to beat my defender one on to the hoop to get an easy two.  This season my varsity team was ranked number 1 going into the state tournament, we also never lost a home game during the whole regular season (12-0).  Academics are very important to me as well, I currently hold a 3.2 gpa. I am a leader on and off the court, always encouraging guys to do their best whether it be in a championship game or just in a shoot-around practice. I am a competitor and I will always try my best in everything I do in life itself. I look forward to playing for a team and coaching staff that will continue to develop me as a player and person overall.
