Travis Schmid '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Travis Schmid. I am in the class of 2025 at Sterling High School located in Somerdale, New Jersey. I am a two-sport varsity athlete in soccer and basketball. I am a very hard-working student and athlete. In school I maintain good grades and am involved in other school activities such as class trips, pep rallies, etc. I am the former Class President of my Junior Class. Overall, at school I stay very involved, have many friends, keep good grades, and stay out of trouble. I was the starting goalkeeper for school’s high school soccer team. We went all the way to a South Jersey group 2 final in which we sadly lost. During the basketball season I started and came off the bench a little bit. I enjoyed my roll on the team and was happy to help in any way that would lead to a team win. We also made it to a South Jersey group 2 final which we sadly lost a hard-fought game. I view it as an awesome sophomore year given that state finals are hard make and I was able to say I played in two of them and helped the team in big ways. Out of school I stay out of trouble and work hard to be the best me I can be. I enjoy time with family and friends. I enjoy staying consistent in the weight room when I am not playing basketball or soccer. I also work a job at a restaurant in my area. I am currently playing AAU basketball for Team Hines. I really hope to further my academics and athletics at the next level being able to play in college.
