For my collegiate goals and aspirations I wish to receive more knowledge on management and exceed in that field to be able to manage a company or maybe even own my own company. Outside of learning the management field of study I wish to be able to play college basketball and compete at a high level of basketball against other great players. Throughout my high school years off the basketball court I maintained a 3.5+ GPA and became a member of National Honor Society. There was never a time where I struggled in the classroom because I always asked the teacher for help by staying after school or emailing them for more help; my education is the most important to me and I make sure i never finish a class without trying my hardest. On the basketball court since my sophomore year I brought leadership and determination to the team leading my teammates through a great season competing at a high level. Never did I ever let one teammate on the team feel bad about themselves on the court after a bad game without talking to them individually or as a whole. I even take advice from my own teammates; whenever someone, a teammate, coach, or experienced adult sees something that doing I'm wrong, no matter how skilled they are, I'm always open ears to take in knowledge to better myself and fix my mistakes. I'm very teachable and coachable, I understand that I don't know the game of basketball or life itself so I'm open to receive information on how to better myself from people that been through what I'm experiencing now or when people see mistakes that i can fix. That goes for on and off the court. My thrill of excitement on the court, fierce defense, and hot streaks always brought the thrill out of my teammates. I am a good shooter averaging about 45% from the field and my ball handling progresses over the years as well as my rebounding I am always near the basket boxing out for a rebound or an outlet for my big man, my passing ability also progresses as the years pass by allowing me to learn how to get my big men and other guards the ball and setting them up to score, and my defense is aggressive, no matter how well you play or what your name is I will always outwork my opponent and pressure them on defense to get them frustrated. I can always improve and I work out every day to be better than the day before so I am only getting stronger and better each day. My energy on the court is always at a high competitive level and I will never let someone dominate me without me coming back 5 times harder. I remember one bad game of my junior season when there was a guard shorter than me and I took him for granted. In my head I believed that I was going to dominate that guard just like I believed how I would play against anyone else I competed against. Throughout the game that short guard forced 4 turnovers on me and they won that game. I was devastated after that game, that game haunted me for the rest of that night. I knew we played that team again in 3 weeks so I prepared myself and was ready to dominate him and get that game off my chest. Once the game that we played against that team with the short guard came again I was in the zone and focused but more focused than usual. After the game I ended up with 0 turnovers 15 points 2 rebounds and 4 assist and stopped that short guard to just 5 points. By the start of half-time they had different guard defending me. I got my revenge and my domination back. I am very selfless; when it comes to my team I always put them first and plan to make everyone around me better as well. In the classroom I am always about my books I focus on my work and when there is trouble I go straight to the teacher and ask for extra help. Even if I'm facing my biggest challenge on and off the court I never give up, I always find the best way to complete the task no matter how hard it is. There is never an off season for me; every year after the last game of my season I go right back to the weight room and gym and take 10 steps ahead of anyone else. My determination and love for the game of basketball is at an all-time high and I plan on taking my career on to the highest level, pro basketball.
