Alexander Alfaro '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Alexander Alfaro and I live in Deming, NM. It is a dream of mine to play basketball at the next level after high school. I have been playing basketball since I can remember.

I take student-athlete very seriously. I currently have a 4.19 GPA. This semester I will be wrapping up 15 courses (throughout high school) of Honors and AP classes. I have great attendance and will be graduating Summa Cum Laude and 5th in my class.

I plan to become a Sports Physical Therapist.

I have been a Varsity starter since my freshmen year. I have been captain of our Varsity team for the last three years. I am a good candidate for any team because, first and foremost, I am a very coachable athlete. I am also a hard worker. I am not afraid to put in the extra time to get better, learn new things and refine my skills. I am a good teammate. I motivate and encourage my teammates and am willing to help them at all times. I am also an unselfish player. My goal when I step onto the court is to do the best I can to help my TEAM. I am not driven to receive personal accomplishments, but rather to work together with my team to be successful. The coaches I have played for can vouch for all of this. 

In addition, I am a kind and respectful person. My parents have raised me to have good manners.

I hope to continue my basketball career in college. My mom played basketball at NMSU and is in the Hall of Fame there. It would make me proud to be able to continue her legacy and establish my own.
