My name is Dillon Salazar, and I am a dedicated senior at Tularosa High School. I have been a student-athlete in multiple sports since middle school, and sports have been an important part of my life, teaching me valuable lessons about teamwork, discipline, and leadership.
One of the most important lessons I have learned is the importance of being a good student and a leader within my school. I understand that to be eligible to play sports, I must do well academically and serve as a positive role model for my peers. Despite facing personal challenges, such as my parents' divorce, I have remained committed to my academic and athletic pursuits, maturing faster than my peers to be able to help with my family.
Through these experiences, I have learned firsthand what real life is like and what it takes to be successful. I have come to understand the true meaning of responsibility and hard work, values that I carry with me both on and off the field/court. While I love to play all sports, basketball holds a special place in my heart. I have been playing since I was three years old and have had the opportunity to play at various levels, which has shaped me into the athlete and person I am today.
As I look to the future, I am hopeful to continue my journey with the game of basketball at the collegiate level. I am also passionate about pursuing a degree in criminal justice, as I have always wanted to help others. I believe that this field will allow me to make a positive impact on the world around me, and I am excited about the opportunity to continue my path of life.
I am confident that I will proudly represent any organization to the best of my ability if given the opportunity. Thank you for considering my application and for your support.
Sincerely,
Dillon Salazar
