Ethan Krog '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ethan Krog. I am a Class of 2025 point guard/combo guard. My goal is to play basketball at the highest level possible. One thing I believe that sets me apart from other athletes is my motor and work ethic. I strive to be the hardest worker and to improve every day. 

I am a combo guard who takes care of the ball. I am an elite shooter from everywhere on the court. I excel on defense. My quick hands and ability to read the other team sets me apart from most defenders. On the court, my biggest strengths are my shooting, defense, intensity, and basketball IQ. My work ethic, discipline, and winning mentality are some of my best assets off the court. I am willing to do whatever I have to do to win. 

I started playing varsity basketball for the Charles G. Finney school during my freshman year. I started the season coming off the bench but over the course of the season, I worked incredibly hard and earned a spot as a starting guard. I ended the season averaging 8.4 points per game.

I was named a team captain at the start of my sophomore season. I joined three other seniors as team captains. My team played in a tournament called the Twin Cities Lions Club Holiday Classic where I was named the tournament MVP. My team went 2-0 while I averaged 18.5 points and 2 steals per game. I ended the regular season averaging 15.3 points per game and having 5 20+ point games, which made me the fifth leading scorer in our class as a sophomore. I led the team in scoring and steals. Also, I hit 81 three-pointers over the course of the season, the second most in a season in school history. I was named team MVP and All Private Parochial Leauge first team, the youngest player on the list.
