Patrick Billings '18 Recruiting Profile

Sports have been a major part of my life. I have always been a great athlete and have consistently played on three different sports teams each year since a very young age. However, basketball is my passion. It's more than just a game, it's a lifestyle.  My team has become my social life. Playing at a Varsity level has taught me the importance of communication, trust, discipline and organization. These are qualities I will need in order to compete on a NCAA collegiate basketball team, which is very important to me and something I strive for. 

I played at a Varsity level since my sophomore year and was a starter as a junior.  I have the ability to play both inside and outside on both offense and defense. I can stretch the court when given the situation.  At the age of 11, I saw how strong my mother was as she battled and beat cancer.  This experience made me a stronger person and I realized how hard you have to work for the things you want.  This past season, I had to work even harder each week in order to keep my starting position. I also work hard to keep up with my academics so I can get the best opportunities and be accepted into a good college and ultimately have a career in Sports Management/Broadcasting.
