I am in my second year of playing basketball and have learned a lot quickly. I come from a line of college athletes, so athleticism came naturally to me, but my basketball IQ, skill level, and team play were lacking because of how late I started playing, but I was determined to grow. I learned how to become focused and pick up the key things I need to know to improve and take my game to the next level. This is one of the life lessons I plan to take in my collegiate life.
In this short time, I had to work hard off the court so I could be an asset to my team and my coaches. In two years I’ve been able to win a starting position on my varsity team, earn MVP at Phenom, and play a few games that actually made my Dad smile. The support I get from my family has played a big part in the push to play basketball at the college level. I want to be in an environment that will push me to learn and teach me to be the best student-athlete I can be. I pick up quickly and I’m hungry for more.
