My most outstanding characteristics on the court are that I can shoot the ball extremely well from anywhere on the court, handle the ball skillfully, be able to create a shot for our team, and pass correctly with good court vision. I also pride myself on being a very good teammate. I get along well with the coach and always do what he says. I am 20 years old, and have been playing basketball for 15 years. A basketball geek ever since I was little, I knew that I wanted to play basketball professionally. I am the eldest son in my family with four younger brothers. As a Christian, I have strong morals that I apply on the floor. I was homeschooled through high school, and have enjoyed being homeschooled from the beginning. My freshman year in college, I was able to maintain a 3.3 GPA and improve as a collegiate athlete while playing at Methodist University.
My height is 6’3”, and I weigh 185 pounds. I have gotten a lot stronger over my high school and college career, and while I know I still need to keep working on that, I am decent size right now. I played one year in college for the Methodist University Monarchs. My high school team that I played for is the South Wake Sabres. I played for this team since 7th grade. Our team in middle school won the state championship both years I played, our junior varsity team finished 2nd in the regional tournament the first year, and won the regional championship last year. I have been on the 1st team all-regional tournament twice.
I also played AAU, and started for Triangle Blazers. Before that, I played for the NC Mustangs and I’m Possible Team Nolan Smith. For the Mustangs, I played with them for 2 years. In 2015 we made it to the AAU D3 Nationals, after finishing 2nd in the AAU D3 North Carolina Nationals. On the NC Mustangs I was the “AP” top pick in 2014.
My dream has always been to play basketball professionally and that is what drives me. Possessing good leadership on the court, I have always helped my teammates and encouraged them. I have always been an extremely hard worker, whenever I am on the court I will give my best effort. For seven years I have been taking professional training with Micah Lancaster’s I’m Possible Training. I have been training daily for seven years. I am looking for a nice school to transfer to, and I believe coaches will be looking for players like me, so I have all options open. However, I would prefer to transfer to a college in North Carolina, but I am definitely open to schools outside that range if it is the right school. I am open to many different types of schools, but preferably a small sized school. I majored in engineering while at Methodist University and am looking to obtain a business degree at the school I transfer to. As a college athlete, my goals are to play basketball all four years of college, and then try to find a professional basketball opportunity after I am finished.
