I have been playing basketball since I was 5 years old. I started playing multiple sports initally, but in middle school I quickly realized that basketball was my passion. Since then, I knew I wanted to play at the collegiate level.
I grew up in a very rural county on a farm. I was taught the value of hard work from an early age and that you must work hard for the things you want to achieve. While I do not come from a family of athletes, my family has supported my athletic journey from the beginning.
I am currently 6’7” sophomore at Davie County Hight School. A lot of people think I already have an upper hand due to my height. That may be true in some respects, but I feel my commitment, hard work and drive to improvement is what gives me an advantage. I am always striving to improve. I not only take positive feedback from my coaches but also developmental feedback and quickly take action to show improvement. When I am not on the court, I am in the gym working with a trainer as this will only make me stronger.
I have a desire to attend college and continue to push myself academically and athletically on the court to see where it takes me next.
