My name is Miken Mattson, and I am a 6’1 combo guard from Valley City High School in Valley City, North Dakota, class of 2026. I am a dedicated gym rat with a deep love for the game. I take pride in working hard every day and being a positive leader committed to helping my teammates and the team succeed.
I grew up in Texas until the fall of 2019, when my parents, who are college coaches, took a new job to be closer to family due to a death in the family. I’ve grown up in a college environment and have been around high-level college athletes and coaches my whole life. Both parents are former college athletes; my mom played college softball at Snow College and Adams State University, and my dad played college basketball at Casper College and Lincoln Memorial University.
