Playing basketball has been something that I have been doing for a big part of my life. I love the game and I am hoping to find a college that can help me mature and grow as a basketball player and a student, as school is just as important as basketball is to me. I hope to make it to the right college that has a perfect balance of education & athletics. I am willing to put in work on the court and in the classroom, and have maintained honor and merit roll status throughout all my school years. I have put so much time and effort into basketball over the years, as it is truly my passion. I know that to get somewhere I need to put in the work, and that nothing is guaranteed.
2016-2017 was my Freshman year of high school, and it was a great experience. As a freshman my abilities earned me the chance to play Varsity for my high school basketball team. I took the most pride in my defensive skills on the court, which I consider to be my strongest ability. Going into my Sophomore year I worked hard to maintain excellent defensive skills, all while working to improve my scoring. By the end of the year I had scored 17 points/game, and earned Player of the Game ranks in our playoff game, as well as being chosen to play in our county’s Rising Stars game. As a Sophomore I held the top spot for most steals during the season in our division, an honor I was proud to hold. Unfortunately I missed my Junior year due to a torn ACL/meniscus acquired in AAU, but I have been working hard during my recovery and plan on coming back stronger than ever for my Senior year. Just a minor setback for a major comeback!
